U16's Head Coach RTC
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our team as an U16’s Head Coach RTC for the Liverpool FC Women’s team. The purpose of this role is to deliver the technical program for the Girls Regional Talent Club, enhancing the development of girls within the programme. The role will take the lead in the preparation and development of players for the England Talent pathway and Women’s first time. The remit is to produce players for the England Talent pathway and Liverpool Women FC.

The role specific accountabilities are:
- To be responsible for planning and delivering the technical and tactical coaching programme for your respective age group in line with the coaching syllabus.
- To be responsible for the under 16’s age group, keeping records of players progression and producing reports for both players, parents and other coaches through the Women’s Performance System.
- Work with under 14’s coaches and under 21’s Head Coach to enable a smooth transition for players to experience when going through the RTC pathway.
- Strengthen the Female Player Pathway with structured opportunities for the under 16’s.
- To liaise with all key personnel when planning and arranging coaching sessions and matches to ensure the appropriate support is in place (e.g., sports science, medical, recruitment, education, etc.) and that the timetable fits with all other RTC activities.
- To ensure that accurate monitoring of records for all activities are maintained and lead on the analysis of evaluation information for activities.
- To maximise opportunities to raise awareness of the organisation’s activities.
- To ensure that the safety of participants, volunteers and staff is always prioritised.
- Perform other duties as required which are considered relevant to the post and to the objectives of the Liverpool Women FC
Who are we looking for?
To be successful you must have experience in a professional youth football developmental setting and have an ability to keep and maintain records through the Women’s Performance System and FA Fulltime. You must have knowledge of FA girls and Women’s strategy, have a UEFA B License, a Level 2 FA Youth Award and a basic FA First Aid for Sport Qualification.
The appointed person will be subject to CRB clearance. You must have the ability to develop good working relationships with staff and partners, be able to drive and have access to car, be reliable, conscientious and flexible in your approach and availability, have an ability and willingness to work unsociable hours including weekends and be able to work within flexi-hours to dovetail with other staff in the club (especially on match days).
It is essential that you have: post-graduate experience of working in professional sport, are a member of the Health Professions Council, have a recent and relevant professional experience in a sports performance environment and will undertake continued professional development organised by the club.
You must have: excellent communication and organisation skills, the ability to demonstrate role model behaviours, an understanding of the pressures and commitments required for players, the ability to create an ethos which promotes high aspirations and achievements for all, an understanding of support strategies for the players emotional needs, the ability to work collaboratively in a team in professional and pressurised environments.
It is also desirable if you have an UEFA A License and are a FA Licensed Coaches Club member.

This is a casual role working up to 12 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, Saturdays – flexible. Your main base will be the Anfield Sports and Community Centre in Liverpool. However, the post holder will be required to work from other locations across Merseyside.
