Location – Stamford Bridge (Cobham as and when required)

Hours – Permanent – 35 hours, any 5 from 7

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for a Social Media Content Editor to generate and deliver the Club’s social media strategy and content creation globally across a range of platforms, delivering effective digital campaigns and bringing value to the Club and its partners. Assisting in delivery of the Club’s strategic messages. Duties include:

- Day-to-day management of Chelsea FC’s social media presence across platforms: from the creation and publication of content to community engagement, with a constant focus on improving performance month-on-month to meet agreed KPIs.

- Social media community management, driving continued engagement in Chelsea’s social media fanbase and reaching new audiences.

- Content capture and ideation – from photography and video to social copy to fan engagement.

- Planning weekly content, taking ownership of the weekly / monthly content calendars.

- Analyse and report on Chelsea’s performance across all social media channels, using findings to inform future direction of content and campaigns. Deliverables here include weekly, monthly and seasonal reports.

- Working with our Partnerships team to provide insight and advice on building social-first campaigns and delivering commercial value for partners.

- Providing best-in-class coverage of home and away fixtures, with a reactive and precise approach under pressure.

- Proactively seek new opportunities for content and stories across the club’s social media ecosystem.

- Work cohesively with our in-house video production team from conception phase through to the syndication of content across channels.

- Work with our brand marketing team to ideate and deliver campaigns that drive awareness of the Club among existing and new audiences (UK and global).

- Help drive awareness and consumption of Club products working effectively with the wider Marketing Department to do so.

- Identify and engage third-party illustrators, animators and content creators to augment and amplify the content on our channels.

- Relationship build and manage communications with representatives of men’s first-team players.

- Work closely with the Chelsea Women’s social team to ensure Chelsea content is aligned.

- Promoting the equality, diversity and inclusion work of the Club and effectively communicating the Club values.

Must Haves/qualified by demonstratable experience to the level required:

- Proven experience working in digital / social media, preferably working for a global brand.

- Knowledge of and interest in football and it’s unique position within social media.

- A natural storyteller – with exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as editorial judgement.

- Able to demonstrate a passion, curiosity and fluency in digital and social media.

- A solid understanding of social and sports trends.

- Must be comfortable with out-of-hours work and working reactively to tight deadlines.

- Track record of increasing reach and engagement through own ideas and individual management of social accounts.

- Confident with social analytics, monitoring and publishing software.

- A team player with the ability to take the lead and guide other employees where necessary.

- Can think quickly and be decisive in high pressure situations.

- Creative with a strong attention to detail.

- Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro and Lightroom.

- Experience with paid media activations across all channels.

- Familiarity of working with high-profile figures.

Nice to Haves:

- Foreign language desirable but not essential.
