We are looking for an individual with significant experience software development to join our Team as a Senior Manager, Software Development - Retail.

In this varied role, you will have overall development responsibility and authority for the set up of Product technology across the Retail remit. You will be responsible for overseeing the application maintenance and delivery of all Services aligned to the Product and for the definition of the technical work to complete tasks.

What will you be doing?

-Key technical point of contact for the Product and any services aligned to the Product
-Day-to-day management of the developers on the Product team internally and external
-Resource and capacity planning against the Product roadmap
-Defining the technical & development
-Ensuring Product and Solution designs are in full compliance with the policies set by Technology Standards and Governance
-Overseeing and completing technical development activities of services aligned to a Product
-Improving the quality of development delivery
-Overseeing and ensuring adequate testing of changes to the Product, working to continuously improve testing practices within the team, automating where possible
-Ensuring documentation is updated in line with changes to the Product
-Service operations of the Product, continuously working to improve the efficiency, automating where possible
-Coordinating application maintenance of the services aligned to the Product
-Supplier performance management of any AMS providers of services aligned to the Product
-Managing incidents (including major incidents) aligned to the Product, ensuring resolution and closure of tickets in line with defined SLAs
-Liaising with IT Operations where other central IT support is required

Who are we looking for?

To be successful, you will have significant experience of software development, solution design and Development and Design standards. You will have in-depth experience of multiple programming languages, an understanding of mobile technologies and experience of working with Agile methodologies. You will have expertise and understanding of the solution landscape for the Product and solution prototyping approaches. You will have experience in leading customer-centric design thinking as well as experience of DevOps teams and practices.

You will have strong communication skills with the ability to distil complex technical concepts into language understandable by non-technical counterparts. With strong vendor and people management skills and proven leadership skills, you are able to work collaboratively and pro-actively work with those across LFC to achieve success. You will be experimental and investigative by nature, and you`ll continuously test and learn to achieve the Product objectives.
