Full description
The Role
- Assisting in the ongoing maintenance of player files and information relating to registrations and eligibility;
- Communicating changes to relevant internal stakeholders;
- Accessing, monitoring, and updating internal and external Governing Body football administration systems on a routine and timely basis;
- Monitoring progress of player registration applications and flagging any issues requiring action;
- Maintaining player disciplinary data and notifying key staff of potential/actual suspensions, amnesty dates etc and raising any discipline queries with FA/PL as appropriate;
- Maintaining shared Football Administration folders with storage of player contracts, update to relevant regulations and circulars from Governing Bodies;
- Developing expertise and knowledge in player immigration matters and communicate key information/updates to the football administration team and relevant staff members where appropriate;
- Providing proactive assistance to players and families during the visa application process;
- Assisting the Club Secretary and Assistant Club Secretary in undertaking due diligence for potential player recruitment and in preparation for potential GBE applications;
- Collating and monitoring player appearance data in preparation for future GBE/Work Permit renewals;
- Assisting with the ongoing monitoring of the EU Settlement Scheme, particularly for players who become eligible for Settled Status; provide assistance to the Assistant Club Secretary in completing Settled Status applications and updating player immigration information in IFAS;
- Assisting in monitoring relationships and flow of communication with loan clubs for players out on loan;
- Collating and monitoring international selections information;
- Assisting with completing updates to the staff list on the Staff Registration System (supplementing processes for UEFA Licensing etc);
- Ensuring updates to PMA take place as and when changes to player details are notified, and retrieving details from PMA for player administration purposes;
- Drafting correspondence relating to player administration matters for sign-off by Club Secretary / Assistant Club Secretary.
The Person
- Previous experience in a sports administration role is not essential, however we are seeking applicants who can demonstrate a passion for football administration, data management, and an ability to interpret and present information in a meaningful and constructive manner.
- The successful candidate will be required to have knowledge of (or a willingness to quickly learn and develop expertise in) domestic and international regulations around football, and Home Office rules regarding the migration of players and football staff.
- An exceptional level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work in high-pressure situations.
