Scouting & Recruitment Coordinator

Hours: Full time
Core hours 1000-1600, flexible on start and finish times if required
Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Staplewood Training Ground, Southampton
What will you be doing?
You will need to provide administration support where needed to the Scouting and Recruitment Department, organise the travel logistics for scouts attending youth/senior fixtures and/or meetings when needed, manage and track all the travel bookings using third party software, along with sending out relevant documentation relating to new scouts and provide basic administration training for them if needed.
You will be responsible for requesting scouting tickets for senior scouts to agreed games and manage permissions with clubs for youth scouting fixtures, whilst managing and maintain a database of contacts for ticket requests.
You will need to arrange and coordinate CPD events for scouts and the wider department, support the management of annual KIT order and distribution, along with ordering equipment within budget and plan, generating POs and liaising with the finance department to track and monitor basic spend v budget and ensure monthly payment for all scouts are received
You will be responsible for organising and coordinating all documentation relating to Development Centres and Academy players and the documentation to players’ parents on receipt of recommendations from the Academy Scouts and manage the overall process.
You will also need to ensure excellent communication with the Premier League, FA and other football bodies regarding the administration of trialist and player/scouting staff information.
Person Specification
- Experience working in a busy office environment and working in administration within Professional sports
- Ambitious with a willingness to develop a career in Business Administration and/or operational planning.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment.
- An understanding and ability to maintain confidentiality with all work-related matters.
- Exceptional communication skills within both internal and external stakeholders.
- Personable; with an ability to build relationships easily.
- Highly IT literate; for example; Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Enthusiastic and personally committed to achieving objectives set.
