The Purpose:

To assist the Player Support Property Manager with the planned preventative maintenance and reactive emergencies for the players and directors across the club. To support the club with general maintenance issues at the training ground, led by the Facilities Manager under Group Property Services. To deliver a best-in-class service to the; club, the players, senior management, and their families. Aid with the onboarding and offboarding of players, including all aspects of house moves. Having a flexible approach to assist the Player Support Team.

The Role:

  • Assist with all aspects of house moves and international relocation for Players and Directors.
  • Identify the needs of players and families and respond accordingly.
  • Offer technical support and complete repairs with any general maintenance query or emergency for the players or at the training ground.
  • Demonstrate technical skills in a broad variety of household jobs, such as; minor plumbing repairs, installing household appliances and furniture, electrical work, waste removal, carpentry and groundskeeping.
  • Creating reports and handover of work completed to both the clients and management.
  • Source appropriate suppliers to carry out specialised works.
  • Respond to emergencies and calls for assistance on a rota basis.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with Players, Directors, agents, families and staff.
  • Build great working rapports with both internal and external suppliers.
  • Have a flexible approach to deliver 24/7 reactive maintenance service.
  • Be able to adapt and remain calm within high pressured situations.
  • Be able to adjust with the everchanging work calendar – no 2 days are the same.
  • Show the upmost discretion

The Person:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Awareness and knowledge of property maintenance regulations.
  • Experience and proven skills in areas such as plumbing repairs, electrical work, carpentry and groundskeeping.
  • Gas Certified would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety.
  • Clean drivers’ licence and being comfortable driving vans or large vehicles.
  • Commitment to Social Justice and Equality, Club Policy.
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional standards in a diverse workplace.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and other computer software.
  • Expert in developing relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage your own workload effectively.
  • Flexible approach to work delivery based on business demand.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High standard of work, accurate record keeping and attention to detail.
  • A team player and able to work independently using your initiative.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work to deadlines.
