Opportunities)
Rate of Day Age Related National Minimum Wage Per Hour
Hours of Work Evening and weekend work aligned with matchdays for the Men’s
and Women’s first team.
Location Main Bases:
Blackburn Rovers Football Club, Ewood Park, Blackburn, BB2 4JF.
Lancashire County Ground, Leyland, PR25 2LF
Responsible To Head of Operations, Blackburn Rovers Community Trust, and the
General Manager of the Women’s team

2. Overall purpose of the
Job
To work alongside the Matchday Organiser to assist in the running
of BRFC Men’s and Women’s matchday activities including positive
engagement of fans to promote the football club.
3. Duties and
Responsibilities
General:
To be committed to ensuring the safeguarding and welfare
of all fans and visitors.
To assist with fan engagement activities, including, but not
exhaustive: Inflatable Targets, Family Lounges, Game’s
Room, and Market Stalls.
To assist with matchday activities including, but not
exhaustive: Guard of Honour, Player Mascots, halftime
penalties, and supervising the ball team when required
To positively engage with fans to promote the Club’s
activities and matchday themes.
To provide an excellent customer service, to give a
memorable fan matchday experience.
Any other duties as reasonably assigned by the Matchday
Organiser in relation to this role from time to time.
LFA Only:
To set up advertisement boards around the pitch and store
them after the game.
On occasions, assist with turnstiles operations, including
cash handling.Football Coaches:
Lead/assisted (qualification dependant) on football
coaching sessions prior to home games.
Host football sessions as part of our birthday party offer.
Birthday Party Host:
To lead/assist on the delivering our birthday party offer,
including, but not exhaustive: first point-of-contact on the
day, set up the party room, escort the birthday party
through the day, organise party games, work with the
football coach and facilitate party food/drink.
To provide an excellent customer service, to give a
memorable birthday party experience.
4. General To represent Blackburn Rovers Football Club, Blackburn Rovers
Women and Blackburn Rovers Community Trust in a professional
manner regarding to dress, presentation, personal hygiene, attitude,
conduct and professionalism.

Essential Desirable
Knowledge and Experience Ability to communicate effectively
with all staff and customers.
Willingness to assist other staff,
including birthday parties, coaching
and tournaments.
Able to lift and move heavy objects
safely.
Working in a professional
environment.
Safeguarding best practices and
experience of acting on this
knowledge to protect young
people.
Experience working within a
customer service sports
environment.
Experience of working with a
charity and/or a professional
football club community
scheme.
Level 1 or above Football
Coaching award and/or other
NGB equivalent.
Experience working with
children’s birthday parties.
Skills Able to work on your own initiative,
possess good organisational skills
and manage own workload.
Good communication skills; written
and verbal.
Excellent customer service skills
and phone manner.
Ability to adapt to the needs of
service users.
Experience of working within
