We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool Football Club Women’s team as a LFCW Pro Game Academy U16s Assistant Coach on a casual basis. The purpose of this role is to develop talented individuals, so that players from Liverpool FC Women’s Pro Game Academy progress within our player development pathway and become an integral part of the success of the Liverpool FC Women’s first team.
 
This will be achieved by supporting every individual to fulfil their potential within a high-performance training and playing environment and culture that supports personal and professional development with a dual career focus.

What will you be doing?
To work in close collaboration with the LFCW PGA U16s Head Coach to:
  • Embed the LFCW club values, playing and coaching philosophy throughout the PGA.
  • Plan and deliver high quality pitch sessions for the LFCW PGA U16s squad.
  • Plan and deliver high quality preparation and review sessions for the LFCW PGA U16s squad.
  • Prepare, deliver, and provide feedback on a regular basis to players and parents/carers on individual player development plans.
  • To attend and contribute to internal club and FA CPD events and further training as required.
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role, you will have proven track record of working with and developing players at elite club level or national level and a strong understanding and knowledge of the Women & Girls’ talent pathway. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills with recent and relevant professional experience in a performance sport environment. It is important you can demonstrate the ability to create positive working relationships with all key stakeholders, including players and player’s families.
You will need to be proficient in Microsoft office software such as PowerPoint or Key notes to be able to deliver presentations and using a performance analysis software, ideally HUDL. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to diversity, equal opportunities, and continuous professional development and able to work collaboratively as part of a team in a professional environment.
Essential Qualifications for this position
• UEFA B Licence
• FA Safeguarding Children Course
• FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF) or FA Emergency First Aid
Why should you apply?
This is a casual contract position due to start in July 2023 until April 2024. You will be able to claim up to 18 hours per week in a typical week. On occasions, the weekly claim may be more or less based on programme changes. This role includes working afternoons, evenings, weekends, and PGA match fixtures on a 5 in 7-day basis at multiple sites.
