Due to this evolution,we have an exciting opportunity for a data and insight driven leader to come and join us as our new Head of Performance Analysis & Insights.
As Head of Performance Analysis & Insights you will work closely with our Director of Football and will lead the strategic and operational development of a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary performance analysis & insights service across First Team and Academy.
Using your expertise in the likes of Tableau, Power BI, Sports Code and Hudl, you will ensure data architecture, management, development and maintenance of internal and external data sets are fit for purpose, alongside informative dashboards that will inform our senior football management team and ensure we meet our strategic football objectives across the First Team and Academy Pathway.
Other key responsibilities as part of this role include:
Delivery of a leading performance analysis function to ensure all teams are supported with an evidenced-based approach to maximise competitive advantage
Development of bespoke methodologies, allowing the performance analysis department to perform a leading role in talent ID and development
Management of the modernisation of the club’s data infrastructure, allowing for all available data sets to be leveraged
Help to ensure the club’s playing style and game model is accurately measured and communicated throughout the Club
Oversee the interrogation and analysis of match performance data into objective player insights and feed into the player recruitment process.
Who we are looking for: Essentially, we are seeking a talented and confident leader, who has the knowledge and skill to understand and translate an object orientated language, such as Python or R; an individual who has worked with a wide range of APIs, large datasets and ETL systems.
You will be confident in communicating with all stakeholders, leading the development and implementation of business intelligence, performance analysis and insight strategies across the Club; getting the opportunity to demonstratethe importance of data within a performance environment and how this is able to provide an on-the-pitch edge.
