We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety leader to come and join us within our Governance department as the Head of Health, Safety and Environment. 

As Head of Health, Safety and Environment you will have the opportunity to define, develop and lead the Club and Charities health, safety and environment strategy, developing and delivering exceptional best practice, documentation and compliance in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other relevant legislation.

About the opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety leader to come and join us within our Governance department as the Head of Health, Safety and Environment.

As Head of Health, Safety and Environment you will have the opportunity to define, develop and lead the Club and Charities health, safety and environment strategy, developing and delivering exceptional best practice, documentation and compliance in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other relevant legislation.

The role will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to advise on all safety, health, environment and welfare matters and create a positive culture across the Club and Charity.

A key focus for the role will be the successful management of the health, safety and environment governance workstreams on the new stadium project, where we want to achieve ISO 45001 accreditation.

Who we’re looking for: Essentially, we are looking for an experienced Health and Safety leader who has extensive knowledge of managing safety across multiple sites.

A key part of this role is implementing policies, protocols and guidance to a wide range of key stakeholders so it is imperative that the successful candidate has excellent written and verbal communication skills, and is proficient at communicating at all levels.

NEBOSH and IOSH are also essential qualifications required for this role.

This position is a permanent opportunity, working 35 hours per week with the closing date for this role being Friday 5th August 2022.

The location for this role is across our different sites which includes Royal Liver Building in Liverpool, Goodison Park and Finch Farm with the opportunity to work flexibly with our Hybrid working approach.
