First Team Physical Performance Coach
A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to work within our Sports Science Team as First Team Physical Performance Coach, with day-to-day operations being focussed on planning and delivering the strength, conditioning and rehabilitation for all first team players.

The aim of our Sports Science Team is to provide a world leading department and support the performance and health of our elite players.
The department promotes high performance, injury prevention, injury rehabilitation and development of elite training environments and are a key part of our Club and are supported by a fully integrated team of medical personnel including physiotherapists, nutritionists psychologists, sports science and strength & conditioning staff.
About the opportunity: A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to work within our Sports Science Team as First Team Physical Performance Coach, with day-to-day operations being focussed on planning and delivering the strength, conditioning and rehabilitation for all first team players.
Reporting directly into our Head of Sports Science you will operate as an expert within the field of Physical Performance, you will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team regarding the status and physical preparation required to reduce the risk of injury and maintain high performance and athletic development.
You will contribute towards the efficient and effective functioning of the department, monitoring, profiling, and evaluating all first team squad players to ensure that Strength and Conditioning programmes are in place, and that each players physical development requirements are tailored to their specific needs and priorities.
Who we are looking for: We are looking for a talented and passionate individual who has experience of working within elite sport, which does not necessarily need to be football.
You must be comfortable working with a wide variety of injuries and flexible enough to rotate into a travelling performance team that supports our elite players through competitive fixtures, both home and away.
We need someone who possess the ability to work discreetly under pressure, but also as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and can evidence on-going CPD in major speciality of their work portfolio.
It is essential that the successful candidate has the following educational experience;
- Sports Science Degree, or equivalent level qualification
- Masters Level Qualification in relevant field
- UKSCA/NSCA (or working towards)
- Bases Accreditation (or working towards)
This role is on a permanent bases working 40 hours per week and is based within Finch Farm training ground in Liverpool (Halewood).
