Our successful candidate will report into our Head of Data, Analytics and Marcomms Operations and will also take responsibility of managing the data team to support internal teams, driving sales, customer engagement, data insight, innovation, and campaign planning.

Job Purpose:

Our successful candidate will report into our Head of Data, Analytics and Marcomms Operations and will also take responsibility of managing the data team to support internal teams, driving sales, customer engagement, data insight, innovation, and campaign planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership & development of the CRM database driving insight and value from data
  • Management of all data platforms and agencies, ensuring all feeds are accurate and working correctly.
  • Create and lead the strategic vision for the use of data to drive engagement, growth and revenue through all Club campaigns
  • Optimize the targeting and segmentation of customer data to drive marketing effectiveness & increase return on investment
  • Deliver campaign reporting including incremental and attribution values
  • Responsible for CRM commercial performance & insight reporting
  • Drive data analysis and innovation to obtain the greatest value from the data and provide actionable insights and predictions.
  • Strategic lead on development and management of all propensity models and predictive modelling.
  • Development and delivery of the data capture and growth strategies for West Ham United.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have skills and experience in the following areas: -

Education, Qualifications, Experience

  • Educated to degree/HND level or equivalent or specialist training (E)
  • Be familiar with ISO quality systems or similar (E)
  • Extensive experience of as a database manager or key user of a CRM database (E)
  • Deep and demonstrable database infrastructure and management experience. (E)
  • Experience of using campaign platforms, specifically Microsoft Dynamics, SQL, R, ESP and Tableau. (E)
  • A thorough understanding of statistical techniques and methodologies and a track record of producing and effectively communicating in-depth and accurate analytics (E)
  • Depth of Data Analytics experience (D)
  • Extensive reporting experience (E)
  • Experience of building and delivering data campaigns and delivering testing strategies (E)
  • Quality control of data / analysis outputs (E)

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of data quality measurements methodology and reporting tools
  • Able to propose and execute customer database segmentation Web integration technologies
  • Proactive problem solver who is comfortable with ambiguity
  • Understanding of using Mosaic profiles for data selections and analysis
  • Knowledge of customer contact strategies
  • A solid understanding of database marketing principles and the ability to add value through audience selection and segmentation
  • A confident, clear, and persuasive communicator, with the ability to communicate technical information with simplicity, both in writing and face to face, to varied audiences.
  • Experience of influencing and persuading multiple stakeholders at a range of levels in an organisation.
  • Able to identify problems, provide innovative solutions and make logical, timely decisions. Able to cut through the detail and focus on the end business goal.
  • Ability to work flexibly, and at times under pressure, to meet deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Excellent planning, project management and organisational skills.
  • A highly developed attention to detail and accuracy and an ability to introduce processes and practices that work.
  • Ability to interpret business questions and turn into analysis activities
