An exciting opportunity has arisen within Delia’s Canary Catering at Norwich City Football Club in the role of Conference, Meeting and Events (CME) Assistant Manager. This is an excellent role for someone who is sales driven and innovative. With the key responsibility being to coordinate the sales team in delivering conferences, meetings and events to the Delia brand standard whilst achieving financial targets.
Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Management and support of the Conference, Meetings and Events team in the sale and delivery of conferences, meetings and events. Proactively identifying and converting new event opportunities for Delia’s Canary Catering.
- To be innovative and actively seek new business opportunities.
- Forward planning to deliver an annual programme of special events and festive functions in line with our budget targets.
- Deliver and exceed financial targets monthly/annually, taking responsibility for compiling the budget using data analysis.
- Manage and forecast sales performance of each event, ensuring all events are profitable and planning in marketing in a timely manner.
- Develop, mentor and train Sales Coordinators in all tasks essential to a high performing, quality focused team.
- Responsible for the entire sales process of each event, ensuring all contractual, administrative and financial duties are fulfilled.
- To manage and forecast sales performance of each event ensuring all events are profitable. Plan and market all events in a timely manner.
- Attend networking events and outbound sales visits acting as a brand ambassador for Delia’s Canary Catering and Norwich City Football Club.
- Ensure customer feedback is collected at each event and utilised to enhance future events.
- Structure and brief marketing collateral for events, ensuring all literature and marketing is to brand standard.
- To act in a manner that supports the Club’s Values of Growth, Integrity, Belonging, Resilience, Pride and Commitment.
The ideal candidate should have proven management experience in leading a sales team, an understanding of catering hospitality and organising events. Knowledge of contractual and financial procedures are also prerequisites for this vacancy.
To succeed in this role you must have excellent planning and organisational skills. The drive to innovate and increase sales. A strong customer service and quality ethic, backed up by excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
