We are looking for a Communications Manager who will undertake the planning, development and delivery of our consumer focused PR and communications projects to tell our amazing story while placing our supporters at the heart of everything we do.

Your day-to-day

  • Enhance the reputation of the club by coming up with ideas and effectively communicating consumer focused PR projects and initiatives that place our supporters at the heart of everything we do.
  • Utilise time with players and club spokespeople in proactive, meaningful, and compelling ways that are aligned to our communications strategy and objectives.
  • Drive communications support for the Arsenal Foundation and raise awareness of our inspiring work in our local and global communities.
  • Supporting communications that drive commercial and brand objectives relating to significant club moments as well as club partners, retail, ticketing, membership and venue, amongst other areas of the Commercial department.
  • Drafting key communications including briefing materials and press releases which are consistent with the club’s communications strategy, objectives and tone of voice.
  • Assisting the club in meeting its commitment to providing equal opportunities and encouraging diversity across the club.

What we are looking for

  • A strategic thinker who is experienced in efficient campaign planning and delivery.
  • Someone proactive, who is capable of thinking ahead and generating innovative ideas.
  • Proven experience of telling compelling stories across a variety of platforms and has the desire to deliver impactful and engaging messages.
  • Good experience of working in a mid-level communications role with demonstrable experience of leading projects.
  • Experience of being challenged by competing priorities, shifting agendas, tight deadlines and demanding stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, professionalism and judgement; you will need to be able to build effective relationships with people at all levels to become a trusted adviser.
  • Proven writing skills and attention to detail; you should be able to make complex issues understandable, and be able to adapt your style and approach to suit the task at hand.
