About the Team:
The Chelsea Merchandise function is a relatively small team so there is a need for someone who is a pro-active self-starter that doesn’t mind rolling their sleeves up and getting stuck in. Reporting into the Mono-Branded Buyer, and working alongside your office-based co-workers in product licensing and merchandising, you will also work closely with the Warehouse and Retail Megastore team. Outside of Chelsea FC you will be working closely with our portfolio of external suppliers.

What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to join our team based at Stamford Bridge working to build a product assortment that brings inspiration to every Chelsea FC fan. You will support and work closely with the Buyer in the strategy, planning and trading of all CFC mono-branded merchandise across the CFC retail business
The candidate will be detail orientated with excellent follow through skills and ability to multi-task to deadlines, whilst being a strong teammate with the ability to forge effective working relationships with internal functions and external product supplier partners
The work will be varied and will include creating and analysing historical data and current trends, creating in season weekly/monthly reports, managing stock levels within the business through liaising with suppliers and the warehouse, managing the product approval process through artwork stage to final product sign-off, as well as carrying out administrative tasks focused around system product set up, Purchase Order creation and tracking of stock deliveries.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining availability within stock budgets to ensure maximum SKU efficiency, planning product promotions by identifying slow moving lines and categories and initiating markdown where necessary. Alongside the retail team, you’ll devise store range plans based on historical sales performance by area and coordinate the layout plans to all branches along with delivery.
Must Haves/qualified by demonstratable experience to the level required:
2 years’ experience within Merchandising.
Proficient in retail math including the intricacies of Open To Buy and Gross Margin is crucial
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills with experience in managing multiple projects/tasks.
Good understanding of Excel, being easily able to set up spreadsheets create formulas whilst also be comfortable working in PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the confidence in presenting to our Executive Leadership Team.

Independent self-starter with a pro-active approach to work.
A team player with the ability to establish and maintains strong relationships across all levels both internally and externally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
Experience of having worked in a face-faced office environment.
