The Boys Academy Sport Science and Medical Department are looking to appoint a Foundation Phase/Youth Development Phase Sport Scientist. The successful applicant will be an integral part of a growing Sport Science team and will help to deliver the Sport Science provision across all ages within the Academy, with primary focus on the Foundation/Youth Development Phase (U9-U16).
This role will be crucial in achieving the Academy Sport Science and Medical Department’s vision of optimising player availability and performance through an elite evidence-based sports science provision. The role will specifically assist the Lead Foundation/Youth Developmental Phase Sport Scientist in their duties, with a specific focus placed on Foundation (FP) and Youth Development Phase (YDP) academy players (predominately U9-14 squads). This is a full-time role, primarily based at Bodymoor Heath Training Ground and will include working outside normal office hours, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

The successful candidate will need to be highly motivated and passionate about working with and developing young athletes. You will have a comprehensive scientific knowledge base with an understanding of how to apply that knowledge practically through the youth development phase age-groups.
To be considered for this role, you will need to have a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Sport and Exercise Science (or equivalent) and demonstrable experience working with elite young athletes within a professional environment. A Strength and Conditioning accreditation, such as UKSCA, would also be advantageous.
