About this role:
To contribute to the long-term athletic development of Academy players, particularly the U18’s squad, and to work with Football Coaches, Performance, Medical and other support staff to deliver a holistic approach to improving player development.
Responsibilities:
- Full time management of the U18s squad.
- Delivering the athletic development program through gym & pitch-based sessions.
- Delivering & co-managing physical testing protocols.
- Managing player work load (training and game), player wellness & return to play data.
- Working well within a multidisciplinary team to provide a holistic development pathway for all players.
- Completing daily PMA records
- Taking part and contribute to external and internal CPD, with the aim of evolving the current program.
- Leading match day protocols.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.
- Upholding and promoting the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- Educated to Graduate level or equivalent. (Essential)
- Professional accreditation through BASES, ASCC or CSCS. (Essential)
- Three or more years’ experience of working within a professional sport setting.
- Has played/coached in football.
- Experience in delivery at both an andragogy and pedagogy level.
- Experience of working with GPS systems (Statsport preferable).
- Passionate about the development of the youth athlete.
- Advanced computer literacy skills.
- Masters qualification in relevant area.
- Able to build strong relationships with players and staff.
