Norwich City Football Club are looking for 2 Academy Operations Assistants based at our Lotus Training Centre, supporting within the Academy in either the Recruitment/Scouting Team or YDP/FDP Team.

The purpose of these roles is to provide effective and efficient operational support to the Academy, including but not limited to football administration, operations and recruitment. Ideal candidates will have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, as well as excellent organisation skills in order to support all areas of administration throughout the Academy as appropriate.

Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assistant the Academy Operations Manager with the Academy calendars for scheduling purposes, liasing with internal and external stakeholders and assisting with the delivery of matchday events
  • Be part of the Academy Operations Team in attending PDP, YDP, FDP tours, tournaments and overnight competitions in respect of supporting the players. Lead on the risk assessment aspect of the tour documentation to ensure effective planning and execution
  • Support registrations for all non-compensation players trialling at Norwich City Football Academy, ensuring paperwork is forwarded to the EFL/PL/FA (recruitment specific role)
  • Be a key member of the MDT regarding the induction and end journey of trialist Academy players, assisting with the induction of successful players into the Academy (recruitment specific role)
  • Deliver and manage the weekly transport plan throughout the year to facilitate all PDP/PDP/FP and team travel
  • Act as a point of contact for all academy drivers, chaperones and matchday staff, and assist with the management of all academy vehicles (YDP/FP specific role)
  • Organise and manage Recruitment Games Programme with Recruitment Phase Leads, for events held both at Lotus Training Centre and external venues (recruitment specific role)
  • General administrative duties including but not limited to; raising PO’s, organising meetings, answering phone calls, distributing emails, maintaining file system
