Women's First Team Head Coach

Southampton FC Women has seen a meteoric growth in the past few seasons. With a thriving academy already providing new talent for the club and the creation of a Women’s first team ahead of the 2017/18 season, was the beginning of a prosperous rise into senior football. Since 2017/18 Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side won back-to-back promotions, most recently securing their place in the Barclays Women’s Championship having just completed their second season in the league. Our Women’s first team are full time professionals based at the famous and well known Staplewood Campus and also play their home games at St Mary’s Stadium. One of the youngest teams in the Women’s Championship, with current England and other senior international players in the squad, the future is bright for the side as they compete at their highest level to date. Our ambition is to become a competitive WSL team in the future and to be seen as leading not following. In order to achieve this goal we are investing in the programme, which will see Marieanne step up into the new role of Director of Women’s Football to bring additional critical and strategic leadership to the whole department, leading us to start our search for the next Women’s First Team Coach.
