Student Life Skills Coordinator

Student Life Skills CoordinatorLocation: Manchester Manchester United Foundation uses football to engage and inspire young people to build a better life for themselves and unite the communities in which they live. Dedicated staff deliver football coaching, educational programmes and personal development, providing young people with opportunities to change their lives for the better.The Purpose:  To coordinate the Student Life Skills programmes, provisions, and events under the supervision of the Student Life Skills Manager.The purpose of the role is to maintain positive working relationships with new and existing partners, both internal and external. A key objective will be to deliver internal and external provision across all environments including both financial and non-financial activities and projects. Supporting the Student Life Skills Manager to fulfil all the KPI’s within the remit appertaining to all partner relationships. This will require strategic planning, effective safeguarding, quality assurance, event planning and coordination, health & safety and risk management practices, supporting in delivery and continuous monitoring & evaluation.

Live Well Care Coordinator

Working as part of the Live Well Team and closely with the Live Well Coaches, the Care Co-ordinators will deliver personalised care and co-ordination of support to patients. They will work closely with GPs and practice teams to manage patients, acting as a central point of contact to ensure appropriate referrals, signposting and support  is made available for them and their carers; supporting them to understand and manage their condition and ensuring their changing needs are addressed.

Social prescribing empowers people to take control of their health and wellbeing through referrals to ‘Live Well Coaches’ who take time with people and, where appropriate, connect people to community groups and statutory services for practical and emotional support. Live Well coaches also have a role in feeding back information to partner agencies about trends they observe in people’s needs and availability of local support.

An opportunity has arisen for a full-time Performance Physiotherapist (First Team).   Reporting to the Director of Performance, Head of Medical Services and Lead Physiotherapist, the role will be providing physiotherapy provision to First Team players.  As part of the overall Performance Departments support strategy the role will work collaboratively with Performance/Football staff to provide high level physiotherapy services to the first team squad. This role will focus on working collaboratively with the wider medical and performance department to implement proactive injury screening, reduction, and management strategies as part of players individual performance plans and best practice performance support within football as well as leading on the design and delivery of performance rehabilitation services for short to medium term injuries. The role will act as a general senior physiotherapist for wider medical department duties to ensure first team players have high levels of support and provide mentorship to Academy practitioners.
